Proof this might be the worst team???

Unread post by raiderkoch »

Holy crap, I had some faith coming into this season and still held back on buying a way to watch the games because, well...every freaking year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLb-PBptY3Q

Tell me, is this little nugget proof that that this might be the worst team we have fielded in a long time(which is abysmal, all things considered)? Take a look at these highlights, go to the play at 3:45 in the video and watch Palo-Mao tackle, not the ball carrier, because apparently he was tackling with his eyes closed, but skillfully( :cuss: ) tackles his own teammate, Jonah Laulu! :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:

I knew this season was bad, but this little nugget inside this video just summed up everything about this team this season....UN-f[raiders_icon]cking-BELIEVABLE and I have been a fan since 4 years old(step dad was rabid and taking me to games at that age) back in 1976 so have been through some shit.

I really want to find a way to make a meme out of this. Can't believe I'm even spending any time on this trash product!

I don’t think we win another game. Unfortunately, I don’t think the Jets will either. Looks like pick number 2 is the highest we’ll draft.

Like this, I can't imagine we win another either, sadly. Not sure I have ever said that this far into a season. As Hondo said, time to REBUILD. Play young players, see what you have in them. Trade anyone not in the long term plan. At this point. I hate to even say it, but that may even be Maxx because we are looking so far out that he might not be anymore either. Didn't want to trade Jakobi either, but now, clear he won't be prime by the time we get relevant either. Would be merciful for both of them. I was behind Carrol, before, but his pulling JPJ, better have been to prevent injury and not because of his play. Jones blows up tons of guards that have talent around them to help out. JPJ had NO talent whatsoever to help out, and the previous handling of what is one of our best players gets ZERO excuses.

I knew it was bad, but holy chite, watching the "highlights" gave it a new low!

I remember when Rob Ryan had the number 3 defense I think when he was DC with the raiders….did not really tell the true story that offense was so bad that it could not even score a TD….once the opponents team score a Touchdown; that was it, game over….

Still think 2006 was worse. Only Pro Bowler we had was Derrick Burgess. I believe we were held scoreless 3 times.

What makes this year frustrating is the fact that it’s comparable on the field to 2006 but less expected on paper. That was a team that was obviously going to be terrible.

I don’t think it was obvious we’d be this bad this year. I think we were maybe a bit optimistic thinking we’d be a fringe playoff team… but I certainly didn’t see us being the team that got embarrassed by all but the absolute dregs of the league.

Right now… looking at our schedule it feels like there’s maybe one game (browns) that might not be over by halftime. It’s hard to fathom that we’ve actually beat 2 teams.

That 2006 team actually had a decent defense. The offense was complete shit.

The team could still get at least pointed in the right direction. It all goes back to Pete making some executive decisions though, if Pete doesnt then Spytek should.

What are you suggesting the coaching staff, specifically Carroll, do?

If I were Spytek I would remove / replace Chip Kelly as OC over the Bye week.

Good luck with that..we are currently picking 7th—Can you believe there are actually 6 teams in front of is in the draft at the moment..

Here’s who we are really competing with..

Read em and weep—I highly doubt New Orleans, Miami, or Tennessee win another game..I could be wrong. Edit..Just looked it up, Miami plays the Jets and Saints—And the Saints play the Titans— so someone has to win :loltears:

Jets
Miami
New Orleans
Tennessee
Baltimore
Cleveland
Las Vegas

Houston had a bye week so they’re actually 2-4, but they have an easier strength of schedule. So If they were 2-5 they would be ahead of the Raiders—that what I was assuming earlier.
