Someone has to get fired during the bye-week
If no one gets fired during the bye-week, this new regime has no accountability. Spytek start firing motherf[raiders_icon]ckers pussy!!!

And Mark fires the one GM who knew what he was doing & gave us a great draft…but that draft is being destroyed by Pete cuz he’s convinced JPJ can’t play football.Attyla wrote: Mon Oct 20, 2025 11:03 am I am actually doubtful anyone gets fired, and that does not mean Spytek is a pussy.
We have players from, count them four different regimes on the books. The team is four different GM's visions of how a good team looks. And, this one blows me away, we did all of that with Gruden being the longest tenured and Carroll currently the least tenured guy. Sandwiched in between that is a guy who made it less that 1 1/2 years and another guy who was handed the keys after being a low level assistant who's one claim to fame was he took a championship level high school team and burned it down in one season. I shit you not.
Dufus is not selling the team, and as bad as he eats, he ain't dying any time soon. He is the sole common denominator in all of this. I have been saying this for years. He is at fault for the results. Period. He is the President Truman of the team (Truman was a winner though) and the buck stops with him. Period. Want to fix this? Good luck. He could not run a lemonade stand. He can have someone else build a really pretty one, but he knows jack about how to staff one, how to get good lemons, what percent of lemon to water to sugar to add, and how to buy good ice and cups. But he will charge you a fck ton to drink his swill and because he put up his lemonade stand in a place that did not have one, and the place is a really popular vacation spot, people will belly up to the bar and order his lemonade.
And here is the really fcked up part. He does not give a fck. He has his shiny lemonade stand and everyone is patting him on the back about it so he thinks he is a lemonade tycoon. fcker
You know what the worst part is? 2 of the former GM’s work for the organization with the worst personnel talent in the league

As much as I'd like the cathartic release of sacrificing a scapegoat, I see a flaw in the OP. Just firing somebody, anybody, isn't the way to move forward. We need to know exactly who to fire. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of candidates worthy of being canned as (and I use this word very loosely) performances have been dire across the board. A scattergun approach of firing someone just for the sake of it isn't how we get better.Raider727 wrote: Sun Oct 19, 2025 8:58 pm If no one gets fired during the bye-week, this new regime has no accountability. It will also be difficult to replace any fired personnel with a quality, long-term upgrade mid-season. It'll come down to hiring someone who is currently sat at home and there'll be a reason why that is the case, tempting someone from the college ranks who will likely be unproven at NFL level, or promoting from within. None of those options feel like a viable long term solution to help the rebuild process. We've now been burned several times with the shiny interim coach who initially does well, parlays that into a long term contract, and then fails after the new coach bounce wears off.
I don't have the answer but I'd expect a long term strategy to be in place before calling anyone into the owners office and Old Yellering them.
Except Brennan Carroll. Fire his ass yesterday. A strategically shaved orangutan couldn't do a worse job.

A strategically shaved orangutan can, and has, done the very worst possible.Pseudoscot wrote: Mon Oct 20, 2025 11:25 pm As much as I'd like the cathartic release of sacrificing a scapegoat, I see a flaw in the OP. I've always been of the opinion that this was going to be a tank year. Too many developmental players in the draft and too many guys on 1 year deals.
Doubt anybody is getting fired.

Who do you think the Raiders could hire to coach this shitshow? You think firing and hiring an interim coach before midseason is leading them to a super bowl?BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Oct 20, 2025 2:17 pm I mean...HUH? What more do you need to see? This whole thing was doomed from the start and now has a 0% chance of turning around. It's what happens when you settle for a head coach.
Need to trade whatever assets there are including maxx to position themselves for draft/trade for a franchise QB.

I doubt we get to a top 3 pick. Titans lucked into their 1 win, & their team blows. Jets quarterback play will keep them bad, and then you got them playing Miami so maybe that will get Miami higher.Oaktownonly wrote: Mon Oct 20, 2025 6:13 pm If we keep losing we could possibly have a top 3 pick. Let's just all wait for our 2 game win streak to drop us to 8 or 10.
Saints are terrible too & the Browns are in a decent division. Of course Browns should beat us

We can do all the mental flips we want, but until this oline gets fixed, we will keep losing
At some point we are gonna have to draft some DAWGS with questionable character issues. This boyscout shit is for the birds, we could have traded for Pickens and transformed our WR situation. Just a small example.

Can’t have Pickens, or Mayfield, or Skattebo, or JPJ, or anyone with an ounce of moxie or fire. Which somehow the organization misinterprets as crazy. As in Antonio Brown crazy.NoClapsPlease wrote: Tue Oct 21, 2025 5:00 am We can do all the mental flips we want, but until this oline gets fixed, we will keep losing

We are milquetoast. I thought Carr was the one true milquetoast mamba, but once again…
One. Common. Denominator.
This team is in his image. He’s who’s shaped it.
What was once a team of mavericks, became a team of dementia-driven epileptic fits and sharts, and eventually the boy wonder blessed us with the deepest doldrums of eternal ineptness. We now possess all the fire, moxie, and charisma of one Mump Davis.
“And woe succeeds woe.”

It's chick basketball, it has nothing to do with professional football. The coaches for chick basketball are no where near required to know the amount a professional football coach is required to know. The management may be on par, but absolutely nothing else is even close.
So who gives a f[raiders_icon]ck, it is chick basketball. And if I offend someone for calling it "chick" I absolutely don't give a f[raiders_icon]ck.

Faces change, but its the same dysfunctional game (both players and administration). We had absolute garbage last season and the beat continues. I am a fan of continuity but not with this shit show. We need to clean house at the end of the season. Mark needs to hire a dynamic GM with absolute authority and go watch the ACES where he belongs. He does not have have an iota of football knowledge so he needs to stay in his lane. He does have $, so go out and get that guy. I still want Alec Halaby. He needs to let his GM get the HC. No more wonder twins or doing things backwards (getting a coach he wants first).
