I don't even like Mitch until now, he's pissed and doesn't care anymore and I like it because enough is enough....

Yeah like firing coaches has worked so well for us the last twenty five years. It starts at the top. Andy Reid could trade places with Coach Pete and he would net the same results.

This organization is f[raiders_icon]cked up. Burn it to the f[raiders_icon]cking ground.

Not firing anyone and keeping it how it is and then doing it when the season is over is an option but next season has to be a different regime. Pete is done, this team has zero fire, no fight, nothing!!!

With Al we got firings roughly every year and a half.

Now many want firings after 7 games.

As Raider fans many are addicted to the dopamine hits that firing folks produces but the addiction is getting worse ;)

14 days and counting this long ass bye week lol

Unfortunately, the jags are on a bye week as well thanks to the NFL as it would have been interesting to see how they responded to a team that was not on there bye. Guess we will have to so see if any changes are made and how the team is going forward. Looking ahead at the rest of the schedule unless we beat the browns at home we probably wind up a 2 win team.

Jags (on there bye)
AT Broncos (short week Thursday night game)
Dallas (coming off there bye)
Browns
AT Chargers (coming off there bye)
Broncos
AT Eagles
AT Texans
Giants
Chiefs

I normally think it’s a bad look to fire coaches so soon… but this is worthy of it.

You’re allowed to rebuild. You should get a few years to see your vision come together. It took us several years to make such a mess, nobody’s cleaning it up overnight.

But what you can’t have… is a team that doesnt appear to have any interest in being on the field. This looks like a team that was told to take the year off since they don’t stand a chance.

I doubt we fire Pete at the bye… but I’d have to think no coach can survive a year like this. And I don’t mean survive a year with lots of losses… I mean survive a year where it’s one humiliation after another. We’re not losing… we’re getting humiliated.

The (near) continuous firings season after season are very much part of the issues that plague the Raiders.

Right now it’s a vicious feedback loop that we can’t get out of. As you note, sure it feels good to say and eventually have the Turnip “fire everyone!” But it’s yet another part of the Raiders struggles.

Watching the game and the raiders got the ball first; well they made it to half field and it was fourth and two; I said go for it because you know that raiders will punt the ball and Chiefs will just march down and score….

Well that what happened, raiders punt the ball and Chiefs just march down and scored a TD….

Just seem that we never ever get better;
Just wish Mark had the balls to stand up to the NFL when they were trying to get Gruden fired; I know Gruden draft picks were crap but at least the team put up fight….
I mean at every game now; we may as well play Cheap Trick song : surrender, on the opening drive

We want results. Without that we want change. Part of this due to the long time of being terrible. Part of it is due to the “we are gonna win this year” offseason talk. If we somehow were privy to the vision and the plan it might make it more bearable.

The issues with JPJ are bizarre. We have no clue what’s actually going on. We just know he keep sidelining our most physical IOL player.

So much unknown and being terrible makes it super rough on the fans. I want to fire everyone but I don’t because that doesn’t work either.

So who knows what the answer is.

I am actually doubtful anyone gets fired, and that does not mean Spytek is a pussy.

We have players from, count them four different regimes on the books. The team is four different GM's visions of how a good team looks. And, this one blows me away, we did all of that with Gruden being the longest tenured and Carroll currently the least tenured guy. Sandwiched in between that is a guy who made it less that 1 1/2 years and another guy who was handed the keys after being a low level assistant who's one claim to fame was he took a championship level high school team and burned it down in one season. I shit you not.

Dufus is not selling the team, and as bad as he eats, he ain't dying any time soon. He is the sole common denominator in all of this. I have been saying this for years. He is at fault for the results. Period. He is the President Truman of the team (Truman was a winner though) and the buck stops with him. Period. Want to fix this? Good luck. He could not run a lemonade stand. He can have someone else build a really pretty one, but he knows jack about how to staff one, how to get good lemons, what percent of lemon to water to sugar to add, and how to buy good ice and cups. But he will charge you a f[raiders_icon]ck ton to drink his swill and because he put up his lemonade stand in a place that did not have one, and the place is a really popular vacation spot, people will belly up to the bar and order his lemonade.

And here is the really f[raiders_icon]cked up part. He does not give a f[raiders_icon]ck. He has his shiny lemonade stand and everyone is patting him on the back about it so he thinks he is a lemonade tycoon. f[raiders_icon]cker

Fire no one. They created this mess let them suffer with us. No need to collect checks while doing nothing.

The easy answer is fire everybody.Id definitely get put on notice at my job if I performed that badly. But outside of some major internal blowout nobody is getting fired and that is probably the right thing. With everything so bad its hard to evaluate who is what.Knowing Geno is not the answer this season or any other season we need a bluechip qb.Then see how the coaching staff develops that qb.Geno was always a stop gap. With all that being said I think Chip needs to start feeling the pressure to produce a scheme that plays to the players strengths
