Mayock - “Three picks in the third is just like stealing," said Mayock over a conference call Tuesday. "If we're doing our jobs the right way, hopefully that's three more starters. Could we move up to get one, could we move back to get one, between 20 and 60? Sure. The Real CK wrote: Tue Sep 23, 2025 6:13 am Mayock defended Arnette after cutting him and said he had a bright future in the league.
He is a bum.

I liked Telesco, thought he had potential. I wanted to keep him. But it is way too soon to judge Spytek. He had one off season and one draft. I thought his draft was good other than my opinion on a couple picks. He does know his stuff on college players and had a good history there. We just do not know how much Carroll's influence affected some of his moves. Certainly Geno has Carroll written all over it. We do not know how much Brady was involved, certainly he had some influence but how much, we have no idea. Supposedly, Spytek made the final decisions but that group along with Kelly and Graham, well let's just say there are a lot of alpha dogs in that room.
So, we know very little about how the calls were made. My gut tells me Spytek was not as strong a voice in the group as you would normally have. In the words of Parcells, Pete certainly would have had great influence "shopping for the groceries" and Spytek would have had to listen very intently. But we do not know how many guys were there to build our draft board. I know zero about Brandon Yeargan and his scope of knowledge of college players.
That said, the Oline is playing very poorly so Brennan better get his ass in gear and do what he can. Problem is, we have two guys I trust on that line and all the others, are either new to the team or other asshole's players that we are stuck with.

Tre Tucker scored 3 TD's, not one. But to take a guy with that production and give him limited plays, so an "up and coming" player that has not proved himself gets a few more opportunities, is not the way to go.Oaktown Superman wrote: Mon Sep 22, 2025 5:15 pm IIRC, Bech had two catches, not one. Wait until it is a garbage season game. Then feed him the ball.
For now two games are lost, too early to say that all is lost.

Telesco has an actual resume & we are seeing what hapoened with his picks @ the Chargers.Attyla wrote: Tue Sep 23, 2025 7:25 am I liked Telesco, thought he had potential. I wanted to keep him. Your right Geno was a Carroll push, but when the real GM says no to Darnold, then the coach is gonna get what he wants. If Spytek is as gutless as you just described him then he’s worthless just like Dave Ziegler was.
Of course this is all a complete clown show. Brady is running this just like Hulk Hogan in WCW. He just goes & hire who he’s comfortable with….too bad we can’t be like Geno/Pete’s former team, but then again they have smart people & dumped their trash on us. Naturally idiots like Mark & Brady eat it up

Most of his picks are off the team now. Jim's turned that roster overSloth_Fratelli wrote: Fri Sep 26, 2025 5:22 pm Telesco has an actual resume & we are seeing what hapoened with his picks @ the Chargers.

I expect losses until this franchise no longer resembles its majority owner, i.e. Turnip.AdamJoshua28 wrote: Fri Sep 26, 2025 8:05 pm We expecting the turnip to check inand go ahead and hire our pick?
What we deserve though is for all this misery, pain, and suffering, is for Turnip to “man-up” and give us fans an apology.
Then sell and walk away to his magnificent Dentist’s office mansion.

I don't presume to know what goes on behind the door in the FO. Pete is going to be a 3 year coach...presumably. Is Spytek presumed to be the long term GM? If so, I really hope he is strong willed/confident enough to do the job.... despite what the HC thinks/wants. I want a GM that is capable of evaluating talent and pick the right players for this team. The coach is the coach... not the GM. I'm not saying the two shouldn't work together, but when it comes down to the final decision, I want the GM making the call/s.

The relationship between a HC and a G is typically a partnership unless the GM or HC is a douchebagDr Death wrote: Sat Sep 27, 2025 6:21 am I don't presume to know what goes on behind the door in the FO.
