Game Day Thread, Raiders Visit Washington
Raiders are still a dog in this one even with Mariota tossing the ball. I call that a bad lie but who am I to know. Weather will be nice, so a good day if you are in the area to watch a game.
Prediction, Raiders cover and win 27-17

Yes, because he's ancient and this franchise sucks shit. It will continue to suck as long as Mark Davis owns it.Sloth_Fratelli wrote: Sun Sep 21, 2025 12:44 pm I agree OL is worse but when protection holds up he doesn’t get rid of the ball. It’s not about blaming Jeanty so much as it was he was a stupid pick and I don’t see him as elite

That’s fine, but Darnold was there. He’s a west coast guy, we had the money, etc.Dr Death wrote: Sun Sep 21, 2025 12:42 pm Yea.......... fck Fields. I watched enough of him with the Buckeyes. I told everyone he would never be a viable NFL QB.
And Daniel Jones had arm talent, even won a playoff game . A forward thinking organization wouldbe said hey maybe Barkley wasn’t the problem with the Giants as much as their OL.
I mean I’d rather have Geno than Fields objectively, he’s clearly a better quarterback but still

We can bury our heads in the sand all we want, but this game looks exactly like it was set up to be. The Commanders are the better team with or without Daniels. The Raiders have had 2 road games accounting for 4500 flight miles, while Washington has had one road game accounting for 700 flight miles. The Commanders played Thursday night last week so they had 10 days of rest, while the Raiders played Monday night so they had 6 days to prepare and travel. The schedule was set up so the Raiders would be at best 1-2 after 3 games of the season. If you all are going to come at me with this is the NFL... please show me any other team that has had this schedule to open the season and did better than 1-2.

IF our run defense was legit. That's what I stated.DSOTM wrote: Sun Sep 21, 2025 12:34 pm Anyone still think this team can challenge for a wild card lol
Now that it's established that it isn't. No.

ACLs tend to be 18 months before they regain their explosion. Would have given him a 2nd year on the deal.DrDUne wrote: Sun Sep 21, 2025 12:46 pm Koonce has not made the box score aside from a 15 yard penalty.
Suffice it to say, we expected more than we’ve gotten thus far from that $12M contract.

I realize the difference is 3 scores vs 4 scores. I also know this team isn’t ready to get 3 Tds and nail all the 2 pt conversions. So what would have been 3 TDs and a FG easily will become 4 TDs.srv5490 wrote: Sun Sep 21, 2025 12:45 pm It was the right call to go for it - the lost point doesn't hurt too much, but had they made it, it would have been a potential two score deficit. Trying to power through a run up the middle with this line was stupid, though.

Nah.... I'm not about to play the victim game. This team is f[raiders_icon]cking atrotious. Firings need to happen.Coach Pappy wrote: Sun Sep 21, 2025 12:47 pm We can bury our heads in the sand all we want, but this game looks exactly like it was set up to be. We ran it 2 times in a row and couldn’t get a yard. That’s all I have to say. See you next week.

4TH and 1 fail. Guards and Center need to be replaced along with the OLine coach.

Completely disagree on Spytek. Telesco only got 1 year and his resume was way better.Raidersman321 wrote: Sun Sep 21, 2025 12:45 pm Keep Spytek. Dude ain't the reason we suck. He's not even a year into his GM job.
Force Davis to sell the team so we can get an actual owner who fcking cares. That's where you start.
Go look at what we need: QB, OL, DL, CB, all PREMIUM positions and these are the SAME positions we needed a year ago.
Wed be better off if Mark apologized to Telesco & just gave him the job back, but Mark is too dumb to even consider it
