NFL Still Screwing the Raiders

Unread post by Coach Pappy »

Someone find out how many teams in the history of the NFL have had to play back to back teams who have 10 days to prepare (20 total days) while giving the screwed team only 13 total days....

We are good at all by ourselves, We just don't want to admit that sucking as bad as we have sucked takes a concentrated effort of epic levels. That is how good at suck we are, we bring suck week in and week out. Our suckyness is on a level never seen in this league ever. Between our records year in and year out, our futility drafting, our going through coaches like tissue paper and damn, one batshit crazy owner to his dufus son, the only thing we can claim is we have a really nice stadium very few of us can or want to afford to go to. And the nightlight inside just makes it look cheap.

But hey, Davis is printing money now, other than the 10M per year for a former head coach, and various other on the books head coaches salaries. So some of you can hang you hat on a rich guy getting richer off your asses while shoveling shit at you and telling you in a couple years that shit will grow out of it a beautiful rose. All the while conveniently avoiding the truth that shit never grows anything unless you sow the seed and he refuses to pony up the money to actually buy the right seed. Until now, perhaps.
Yep. How some have the audacity to blame our consistent sucking on the refs or traveling or whatever is beyond me.

Alright, that’s like the 2nd time in as many weeks that you two have agreed on something. I will now shoot some arrows into the sky in hopes of taking down tomorrow morning’s bacon.

It's OK Charlie, it might happen a third time. We could both disagree with you!!

The league screwed us by making up a rule called the tuck rule and only using it on us when it counted most
The league screwed us by us hiring Shell 2.0
The league screwed us by making our center vanish hours before the Super Bowl
The league screwed us by making us travel the most of any team every year since the beginning of time
The league screwed us by hiding Brady in the draft so the Patriots could draft him, and him winning it all repeatedly
The league screwed us by giving us high draft picks over and over

fck the league
With the exception of them making up the tuck rule and then getting it wrong in our game (which Brady already stated they did) and the travel time everything else you wrote here is something that we are in control of.

-It's the NFL that's in control of the schedule, not us.
-It's the NFL that is in control of the officiating, not us.

This is all I was pointing out until you jumped off the deep end and went on a tirade with this post and another one after that.

Of course we have made bad decisions and had bad teams and that is our own fault, no sane person would contend otherwise. Just like no sane person would contend that the schedule and most importantly the officiating has added greatly to our demise. From 2009 until 2024 our record is 104-156. In that exact same time frame the bears record was 112-148, just 8 measly games more won. And in that exact same time frame here is where we finished in penalties and they did...

First 3 times. Bears 0
Second 3 times. Bears 0
Third 2 times. Bears 0
Four-Five 1 time. Bears 0
6-10 (below the top five) 5 times. Bears 1
That's 14 times we were in the top 10 in the league v. the bears 1.
In 16 years they have never been in the top 5! lol?

So for the last 16 seasons two bad teams with only an 8 game difference in the W/L column but one of those bad teams, us, had to contend with a landslide more of penalties. Oh, and in the exact same time frame the bears were at the bottom of the league in penalties 4 times v. our 2.

So, what about a team that was worse than us? I'm glad you asked that question. The Jaguars.

The Jaguars were 84-176 in the exact same time frame. That's 20 games WORSE than us! What were the results?

First 0
Second 3 times
Third 1 times
Four-Five 0
6-10... 0
That's 14 times we were in the top 10 v. 4 times for the Jaguars.

Oh, and the Jaguars? In that exact same time frame where in the bottom of the league in penalties 5 times v. our 2. They lost 20 more games than us but only managed to be in the top 10 in penalties 4 measly times.

Do you see a problem there?

Yesterday, the broncos are screaming at the top of their lungs that ONE... yes, 1 measly penalty cost them the game. One. Let that sink in.

What does anybody who has ever watched even a few football games much less people who have watched it for 50+ years see every single game? The HC's screaming at the officiating. That is how crucial the officiating is in NFL games. Yes, we have had bad teams but that doesn't magically erase the damage they have done year in and year out and there is no need whatsoever to apologize for NFL officiating. It's just the opposite.

They have earned that shit.

The reason we commit more penalties is because we actually commit them there aren’t be more than a handful every year that you fan contend weren’t penalties & some of them are subjective

As for the miles travelled conspiracy the miles traveled has actually come down since moving east, teams like the Chargers, Rams, Seahawks Jags etc have it far worse than us.

The nut job conspiracy theorist fans are the reason why people laugh at this fan base

If you look hard enough for anything you cam make a case for it

On top of all that, why would they fix things to screw the Raiders? We have not been relevant in two decades?

Sometimes, a schedule is just a schedule.

Sometimes a penalty is just a penalty.

But it makes others sleep better thinking that we suck because of external circumstances. This is the ultimate fan response. If what they claim were true, the ownership would long ago brought it out to the public. And yet, here we are two decades later and silence. As for the tuck rule, Brady admitting it was a fumble? That was recently. Talk about revisionist history. Again for the cheap seats. When the play happened, Brady was a nobody. A guy who unseated the starter due to injury. Nothing less, nothing more. He was not even that great that particular year. It was the defense that got them there. His reach was far from what it became, as in literally zero. Using Brady as the first point of your argument is the ultimate joke.

If it were that simple.

Here is the reality, for a conspiracy to work, especially on this level, the number of people needed to be in the know is a staggering number of people. Schedulers, refs, NFL brass and almost certainly a fair number of owners. And we are talking over years worth of time, and if some are to be believed, this dates back to 1983. That means the numbers would include those people dating back over 40 years. The chances of a leak increases expotentially by both time and the number of people needed to pull off such a feat. In other words, by the laws of statistics, by now we should have had this exposed by credible sources inside the conspiracy and investigative reporters should be having a field day with this. Were it true, it would put to shame the exposure of the activities the Redskins pulled off and yet, the Redskin scandal took mere years to expose and here we are with not even an accusation. If this were true, the fact that we still know exactly zero does dictate that it never happened.

And, finally, why would they care about some broken ass franchise that has not been offensive to anyone in decades? All you can come up with is a long dead owner pissed off people, many of which have been dead for a long time.
