Here we go - new coach, new QB, new exciting RB, and a no-name defense. Not the toughest opening day match up possible as the Patriots also have issues. We are clearly in rebuild mode right? So if we lose I hope this board doesn’t go into melt down mode. Have fun with the new product Raiders fans

A lot of “experts” saying this is a typical Pete Carroll coach game. Saying this is what the Raiders fans have to look forward to.

Pleasently surprised overall...we realized we couldn't run so we found something else to do...last regime would never have done that! And the D was much better than I expected!!! Great to start out in the win column!!!

My main critique is for the run game. Jeanty put on some dancing shoes at the end. He was more productive hitting the hole and chunking 4-5 a time. Chip needs to design more plays where Jeanty has momentum at the LOS.

Jeanty does help this offense overall. The entire NE defense keyed in on him each play. He got half the entire defense to swarm towards him on play actions leaving Meyers, Big Mike, Tucker and Bowers open.

Half the teams today lost their games so it’s always better to get that 1-0 start. We have a chance to have a really good start with a win over the chargers next week. First things first what did the Raiders do well today.

1 Halftime adjustments! Thank the lord for them. We forgot what they looked like.

2 Geno had an outstanding first game. He clearly knows what Pete wants to do and must have helped teach the WRs what they need to do. It’s probably unrealistic to expect him to throw for 300 yards every game but he will do his job.

3 Jenaty isn’t a bust after one game. I think the Pats focused on him enough to help the passing game.

4 It was great to see Koonce back healthy.

5 Bowers will be back.

Anyone want to talk about our backup QB's?

Good start, promise all around. Was the oline great? No, but it was better. N.E. started bringing 6 regularly for the 2nd part of the first half and we didn't react well to that. Plenty good in those who catch the ball. Geno very promising start. Defense started to bring5 in the second half and it helped, White with 11 tackes/8 solo. 13 points really good there, overall not as good as that, but a fair start. Solid coaching from Pete and Kelly. Probably could have mixed the running game a bit better.

Brock's knee the low-light.

Next week we are going up against one of the top trench teams, it will be interesting to see how we hold up.

Jeanty first 4 runs looked great. The line gave him a little room. Then it seemed like the Pats D went all out to stop him and never really changed. At the end it was pouring and every player was keying on him. Meaningless. Powering in for the 3 yard TD was impressive.

-Really impressed with the defense.

-Stop the run, win the game. Raiders did exactly that.

-Carroll knows his dbs. Starting Kelly was the right decision and he played like a shutdown corner. Reminds me of 2021 Casey Hayward who was key in our playoff berth that year.

-Koonce showed everyone why he was missed last year. Love how he always goes for the turnover and doesn't just pad his stats.

-I give Tyree Wilson a hard time, but he looked much improved in week 1.

-OL worries me a bit but their pass blocking was stout in the second half. Run blocking needs work.

-Jeanty was a factor even when it wasn't on the ground. Even in the pass game, a defender hovered around him like he was a WR1. He allowed our TE's to get wide open. When we needed a TD, Jeanty got it on a play where most RB's get stopped for no gain.

-Bowers is the best TE in the NFL. Nothing else needs to be stated.

-Micheal Mayer quietly putting in work, and if Bowers is injured, he will need to step up and be the guy.

-Thronton is just a rookie, but when we needed to make a play in the clutch, he made it. Great sign for a potential WR1.

-Jakobi Meyers looked decent on paper but imo it looked like he was dogging it. Minimal effort once the catch was made.

-Devin White and Jamal Adams were great pickups by Carroll and Spytek.

-Pola Mao is quietly a star at safety. Yeah, I said it. He's ALWAYS exactly where he needs to be on every play.

-The common theme seems to be, all the "questionable" decisions Carroll and Spytek made in the off-season were the correct decisions.

Have our weaknesses for sure but how exciting is it to see so many of the young talent begin to shine? Geno looked pretty good, coaching is normal coaching. Overall I`m pretty happy. 1-0........next!

Kelly really played well today. Even the PI call on him was absolute horse shit.

Same concern as last year — the interior offensive line.

Huge upgrade at QB — just think - a year ago Minshew was in charge of the O.

We have a great group of receivers including the WRs.

Good special teams work.
