Game Day Thread - Preseason Game #2: 49ers in LV Sat. @1:00 pm

The 49ers sure looked bad vs. the Broncos, and they are supposed to be much better than their poor showing last season. For us, the offensive line seems to be rising to the top of concerns.

You can’t gauge points per game when the 1st string comes out halfway in the 2nd half. They put up 10 points today in their brief time on the field today. Defenses tend to break down in the 2nd half when they have to stop a bruising running game, which can open up scoring opportunities late in the game. Some of the guys in the 3rd and 4th quarters of the last two games wont even be on the team next week.

So the offense is more about the players and not the offensive scheme and play calling?

Thought that was a tiny tactical error at the end there. Moody, the SF Kicker was already in his head from last season and this game. Trying to “freeze” him with a timeout gave him an enemy. That creates anger and focus. Should’a would’a could’a just let him kick it without the TO.

Feel like we have some pieces to get to 8 wins, but also see this defense is going to take years off our lives and Pete can’t afford to spare any at this age.

On a serious note, Jeanty is as advertised and Bowers set for a huge year 2. Hopefully Geno’s timing with receivers improves and he starts hitting the deep throws because teams are gonna start stacking the box and we need to exploit it.

Our best D players walk directly into another team’s 3rd-string for a season and into a Costco to start bagging groceries the next.

Time will tell let the Patriots be your barometer after this season, do you think what we have now is better than Spillane, Hobbs, Bennett, Moehrig, Chassion, Deablo..people on here said Roberts is better than Spillane...it's laughable! Chassion out performed every DE we have except Maxx, but hey it's a New era look at my avatar;)

I don’t think the starting offense has punted. We’ve used our 2 top receivers bowers and Jakobi very sparingly. They are clearly working on Thornton and smiths timing

One of the more enjoyable preseason games. Way too much red in the stadium, again! Carroll was running up and down the sidelines all game long with a smile on his face. Contagious optimism from him, and I believe it rubs off on the players.

Pete went from 12's to away team has home field advantage. Today what 60-40 red? I guess a lot of PSL holders bought in as an investment and times are tough.

Winning will cure the other fans at the stadium. People tend to flock in now because they expect to win and it makes for a fun vacation. When you’re better more often than you’re bad people will think twice about spending the money.

Yes I’d say 60-40 red. There are a bunch of 49ers fans that live in Vegas and they’re going to take the opportunity to see their team play locally when they come here. Just a big fanbase.

And that being said, every ticket they purchased is one that a Raiders fan could have bought instead! At some point our fanbase needs to realize that we also have some control over what happens in our stadium…

It won't be as bad but a ton of visiting fans will always be in Vegas. It's a destination city and people will always go in large numbers. Worst case your team lost but you still had a fun weekend in Vegas.

Raider fans buying tickets and then selling them off to recoup money only to sell them to the opponent isn't helping. The upshot of all that is no doubt they then turn around and complain about our win loss record...

If the attendance was 60-40 red, then lots of PSL holders are selling to the visiting team.

The Raiders sold PSLs for 55,000 of the 65,000 seats at Allegiant Stadium, ranging in price from $500 for the cheap seats to $75,000 for primo locations. About 33,000 PSL buyers are from Nevada and about 7,000 are fans who had season tickets in Oakland.

Winning cures everything, including invasive species in football arenas.
