Raiders@Seattle-1st Preseason Game -Thursday

I'll be there. Anyone else in the PNW going? Looking forward to watching Jeanty get a few carries in the first quarter.

Coach Pete is well liked up here, he should get a nice welcome from the Seahawks faithful.

He can’t throw while on the run or while rolling out of the pocket because of his limited athleticism and lack of arm strength while on the move. Retain him until he drops to 4th string.
No offense, but he's horrible. He locks onto WRs (picks) and misses wide open receivers because he can't get through a progression in under 10 seconds. He has ZERO value in the league.

I distinctly remember Mark Sanchez doing this very thing in a game (preseason?) and fans going giddy over it. Again, hope you are right and I hope Miller, somebody, anybody(!) finally comes in and nails that position down for a very long time. I saw the clip of the PF as well and loved it but as for me I put little to no stock in one PF...

Looks like they found a diamond with this kid, I believe they get a free roster spot for him being an international pathways program player. A year of learning and he might be a player.

The kid is moving mountain. Never played a football game until last night.

Impressive for the first game he has ever played.

What town do you live in?
I live outside of Moses Lake. I think Cam Miller is legit, I liked what I saw last night.

He has value as a backup. I'm a believer in the idea that if your backup can come in for e.g. 6 weeks and come out with 2-3 wins, then he's a good player to have. O'Connell's capable of that.

And not to go with one of the great Carr excuses, but this really will be O'Connell's third head coach and third offense going into his third year in the league. Throw in extensive personnel overhaul and it's a pretty tough row to hoe for any player, especially a young QB.

I liked Thornton and Miller. 4th and 6th round rookies respectively.

I liked Booker. Might already be our best DT, and it only took trading an oft-injured non-starting CB.

I liked Tasi. A f[raiders_icon]cking mountain of a man acquired via the NFL's International Player Pathway program.

I liked Adams. A once-upon-a-time safety on a 4 year 70-mil contract, and now a 1-mil FA playing LB for the first time in his career.

Here’s what I like the most though. That’s mid to late round draft picks, a trade that cost us little, an UDFA international edition, a FA being paid peanuts, and all of these different methods of acquiring talent made this year by our new FO.

We have a ways to go before we have a roster of talent that’s playoff bound year in and year out, but you gotta appreciate how this FO seems to be constantly working to improve the team in every way imaginable. Lookin’ under every rock, turnin’ over every leaf, solid drafting, smart FA and UDFA pickups, and doing whatever the f[raiders_icon]ck it takes to improve the roster.

Honorable likes. Geno and Maxx flippin’ some birds. Raiders. :pirateflag:

I think it was absolutely PATHETIC to have our "starting QB" flip off the fans of the team he used to play for. Maxx was wrong too but I expect nothing less from his ass. Imagine being a mediocre QB and the laughing stock of the league for 20+ years, and flipping fans off.

Didn't see the need for the flip-offs. Just go out professionally and beat their ass on the field. Besides, it's just a preseason game. Hell, in the regular season I still see no use for it.

We've been a crap team for a while. Don't make us look worse.

A bit of hubris is not a bad thing. They are buying in and a throwing out a bit of swagger as a result. Maxx is Maxx and he needs to get pumped up to play the game. We have had our share of those guys over the years. In Super Bowl XVIII Alzado looked across at George Starke and said, "I'll let you live, but I will kill everything you love" which by today's standard would be considered ill advised at best and flat out inappropriate at worst. Maxx is just a bit old school even for a younger guy. Geno flipping off the fans was probably a tongue in cheek move in my opinion. It is preseason, the guys are going to be a little loose. It would probably not happen during the regular season. To me it is no a storyline. We do not play them in the regular season. i looked and I may be wrong but we don't play them again until next year at their house. I doubt either of those guys will do that again.
