Probably a needed move and hopefully a smart one. Remember that Pete Carroll and his GM in Seattle John Schneider churned their roster like crazy their first two seasons and part of their third and did a very good job rebuilding that team. And yes, probably a sign of their lack of faith in Wilson as an interior lineman.

This should come as no surprise to anyone.

Said it before go back and look what he did in Seattle? The GM made something like 400 moves leading up to their SB runs.

I trust that what he saw he didn’t like. I also think that doesn’t mean he likes what he has right now on D. More like he’s sifting through who he has to work with.

Darien Porter 6’4”
Decamerion Richardson 6’3”
Sam Webb 6’3”
Eric Stokes 6’1”
Kyu Blu Kelly 6’1”
Darnay Holmes 5’11”

Jakorian Bennett 5’11”

Mr. Holmes, your time is short.
5'11" is the new 5'2"
It seems like a win-win for both teams. I like the trade. Phillies defense is stacked everywhere it seems.

Bennett is a man coverage specialist who gets lost in zone and is a liability as a tackler. Height aside I didn't seem him fitting with what we wanted to do, so this move makes perfect sense.

Interesting paragraph I found in an article discussing the trade.

”And before we dive into who Booker is a bit, it’s important to note that the Raiders just hired Anthony Patch, a former Eagles scout, as their Senior Personnel Executive. So, maybe they know something we don’t.”

Yeah he just isn't a fit for our team. Pete likes physical platforms at CB and he isn't close to that

Not really a big loss but I will say that the Eagles rarely lose out on trades. Just hope it was a thing where Booker couldn't crack the starting lineup on Eagles stout D line.

I think Bennett will likely start for the Eagles and won't ever be elite, but he'll be fine there. We really needed some more competition at DT - this trade is likely a win for both teams.

Interesting to see all the grieving Raider fans on X. I liked Bennett but I think we're making him out to be better than what he was, because the cupboard was so bare. For perspective, Coach Pete's last year in Seattle he coached rookie Devon Witherspoon. Witherspoon had 79 tackles, 3 sacks, 16 pass defenses and 1 INT.

Bennett in the same amount of games in his rookie season had 32 tackles and 3 pass defenses. Witherspoon is a whole inch taller than Bennett. I think the size requirement is being overblown, and Pete simply thinks he can do better than Bennett.

We had 4 wins last year with Jakorian and the Eagles won the Superbowl not with CB play but the relentless pursuit of Mahomes from their Defensive line.
Frigg the CB stats and lets go with building the defensive line rotation.

A CB cancels one WR.
A sack cancels all of the WRs.

Hunt should know exactly what Booker may bring to the table.

Their CB play helped a lot and helped the D line get relentless pursuit. Dejean and Quinyon played lights out all year.
