Coach Carroll has definitely got a type.

Darien Porter 6’4”
Decamerion Richardson 6’3”
Sam Webb 6’3”
Eric Stokes 6’1”
Kyu Blu Kelly 6’1”
Darnay Holmes 5’11”

Jakorian Bennett 5’11”

Mr. Holmes, your time is short.

His full name is Earl Thomas Booker IV. Maybe it's an omen.

UDFA Greedy Vance was shining at camp..as well as Decamarion Richardson has beee coming around, and Darien Porter looking like a starter. Plus FA vets Eric Stokes and Darney Holmes.

Stokes and Porter will be starters most likely with Holmes, Vance, and Richardson as backups. Theres still some solid vets unsigned FA as well. Gilmore, Samuel Jr, Rhodes, Slay Jr, Poyer. Wouldn’t be surprised if one of these guys end up being signed to have a vet in the CB room.

Moves very well for a guy who's 300+. Could be a good signing.

Let's see...Wilson, Fotu, Lauau, Carter, Hemingway, and now Booker.

Why? Booker is just another rotational player.

Raiders trade a guy on the back end is a head scratcher.

Told you.

Bennet should have never been drafted in the first place, I don't judge him for the mistakes of the staff. 6'2 Ringo would still be on the roster. Oh well, hope Bennet enjoys his last couple of years in the league before he's working a 9-5.

Maybe they made this trade because they are gonna sign a vet still on the street to backup some of the young guys.

Bennett isn't a good tackler (185th out of 207 cornerbacks, per Pro Football Focus), but is proficient in coverage. Last season, opposing quarterbacks targeting Bennett had just a 52.1 passer rating with him in coverage -- as he allowed zero touchdown passes and zero interceptions. Bennett allowed just 4.4 yards per attempt as opposing quarterbacks completed only 45% of their passes thrown his way.

Ringo's struggles with the deep ball in coverage this training camp are why the Eagles felt prompted to acquire Bennett

Bennett is now certainly in the mix for the starting outside cornerback job opposite Mitchell. He has four weeks to get acclimated to the system and surpass Ringo and Jackson.

Parting ways with a proven commodity like Bennett doesn't make sense, but a new coaching staff and new system means other players get better opportunities. If Bennett was cut, he would have been claimed -- so the Eagles parted ways with a player at a position with depth.

These are the exact type of moves Pete made in Seattle so not that shocking

Booker was a rotational piece for the best DL in football so at least we know he can contribute at that level, now it is for Carroll, Graham & Leonard to develop that further

I liked Bennett & how he developed into a solid player last year but if he wasn’t going to be used in our system then better to move him for someone else

Always thought that Porter & Richardson would get alot of reps this year being that they are is Pete’s CB prototype - tall, long & fast.

Someone is gonna lose it if Bennett end up getting the nod over Ringo after all the talking they did

Pete loves em long tall and fast, and obviously green. No substitute for experience especially with the QB's in our division.

Hard to replicate these numbers...

Among NFL CBs with 450+ snaps, Bennett ranked the following:

18 recs allowed (3rd)
37 targets (Tied-10th)
176 yards allowed (2nd)
0 TD allowed (Tied-1st)
9 PBU (Tied-4th)
62.4 QBR (6th)
