What would it take to get Parsons and would it be worth it. Personally, I think a line with Maxx and Parsons would be criminal..Somebody run the numbers..

If you’re on the cusp then it’s worth moving the draft capital if you can get Parsons. Imagine one of the top few AFC teams adding him, it could make one of 3 or 4 teams the instant conference favourites (assuming they wouldn’t be crazy about him in the NFC).

I know we use this a lot, so that means there should be a few top-teams out there ready with baited breath to get him at cost and go! If it ends up Raiders or the like, then I question if this is what top teams actually think.

I figure it’s taken at least two ones and a two. Then he will not settle for $30 M per, unless the gtd $$$ is up there. I’d figure 4/$160 with $100 M in gtd $$$.

Raiders will offer something but it will be like maybe
2026 2nd round pick and 2027 2nd round pick….and see if Dallas bite…they might offer a 1st but only one 1st rounder

I think Dallas cap situation is not too good…bit like the Raiders when we had Macks and he wants to get paid and the Raiders kinda had to trade him because they really could not afford him; in my opinion we should have kept Macks a raider…but that old news now

Yep he loves the drama at the expense of his teams cap numbers. He always waits and then has to pay more.

...That is the problem, you pony up three PREMIUM picks but then he has you by the balls. You have to give up the contract where he has all the power. You do not give up 2 first and at least another pick without making sure you lock him up. And that is where the real bite comes in. You have to make sure you get his services long enough to offset the original costs. How long did the Bears keep Mack? Three years is the answer and they got almost nothing for him. A second rounder and a used dishwasher. It is a tricky thing giving up bigtime picks for a guy knowing you also have to get the contract that makes up for the cost.

And this is why I'm absolutely against the idea of trading for big players that aren't Quarterbacks. The contract that follows shipping off future draft picks ages out of significant guaranteed money by year 3, and the player is then looking for another new deal in the twilight of their career. That's how Mack ended up a Charger. It's a huge financial investment and future draft picks could make a way bigger difference long term. If you draft a good player with our 2026 draft pick we could reasonably control that difference maker until 2033 with 1st round tenders and Franchise tags, long after Parsons may have already moved on to his 3rd team. This is besides the fact that many players are a product of their environment. Micah should do well anywhere for sure, he's a great player, but will he be the exact same version of himself in Las Vegas? That is never a guarantee. And that's why these types of signings work best when you have a handful of other pro bowlers on your roster and he gets us over the threshold into championship contender. You don't build winning organizations with these type of moves, you set yourself back for multiple years.

I think the days of being a STUPID franchise are over. The FO knows we are a work in progress and not close to being a real playoff contender (where one guy may get you over the top). If for nothing else, we are still hurting from the Adams trade (draft and cap capital). We just came off of 2 drafts where we could possibly have the best young talent on the offensive side of the ball (outside of QB). Bowers is already arguably the best TE in the game. Lets hope Jeanty is half of what he is advertised to be. Getting high production from guys on rookie contracts builds winners and should be every GM's blueprint for success.

Can’t see a trade happening. Paying homegrown talent generally isn’t a problem for Jerry. He almost does it to a fault. I’m sure the trade request is more of a pressure tactic than anything else.

If a trade were actually on the table - I’d think 2 1sts would be the starting point. Any playoff teams that could make his contract work would probably pay that gladly.

Few teams are better equipped to handle the financial burden of a Parsons contract extension than the Raiders, both in the short and long terms. They’re sitting close to $40 million under the salary cap now and boast nearly $100 million in space for 2026, per Over the Cap. Paying Parsons wouldn't be the issue, even after extending Maxx Crosby.


And much like with a potential Parsons-Garrett pairing in Cleveland, the idea of Crosby and Parsons hunting AFC West quarterbacks for the next several years would be a frightening idea for the opposition. Pete Carroll led the Seahawks to a Super Bowl title with a dominant defense, and he could tap into a similar formula with another stud on that side of the ball.


New GM John Spytek hasn’t been afraid to make some bold moves so far, so it’s not hard to imagine the Raiders trying to land Parsons. But coming up with enough in an offer might be another matter entirely. It might take their next two first-round picks and then some, and the Raiders are not dealing from a notable draft-pick surplus the next few years.
