Jakobi Meyers & Raiders Talking New Deal

While Meyers may not be a player who goes for 1500 yards, he is a hell of receiver. Does all the little things, reliable hands and overall a player we should keep. Hope this gets done.

Signing Jakobi may be an important look for Bech and Thornton to see that The Raiders take care of their own.

if that is the motivation for a new deal, we are truly a f[raiders_icon]cked up organization. You do not sign a guy to show players that you care. You sign guys because they have talent and make the team better. This is not Kamp Kumbaya. This is a football team.

Get him on a good deal that sets up the team for success.

We'd be out a two and reports say he wants over 30 million. Those are both real issues, the later breaks my personal rules. He needs to be top 3 and young for that money.

Jacobi's wants are not as public but Mr Gamini says:

"One source projects his market value at $17.4 million annually, but another suggests he could be worth more, potentially between $25 million to $30 million annually, especially if he has another productive year."

If we can stay under 20 mil Jacobi is the better route.

PFR gives McL a Rating of 100 for his career and Meyer's a 95. Keep the pick, save the money, there are only so many footballs to go around. Meyer's also has half the drop rate of McL.

I like Jakobi. Dependable hands, works hard and doesn't complain. Don't break the bank but sign him.

Yeah this is what I think also. Hes a solid receiver, no problems, and he can take a hit and not miss any time.
