SRV....Always a welcome site to see you post. Slow times indeed.
But to your point, had my annual physical and my primary doctor whom I got to know when he signed on at my place of employment, just wrote me a 30 script of hydros and said call when I need a refill.
Damned if I will allow my back to debilitate me.
But I digress.....
Hope you are doing well.
Backs can be miserable - here's hoping yours isn't giving you too much grief. Careful with those pills, but good to have them when you need them. Most docs these days are very hesitant to write those scripts, they've got people watching them and interrogating them about it.

Script mills still exist but they are dying out. It is now the pharmacies that are getting the scrutiny. People are prone to doctor hopping and pharmacy hopping when they are trying to get multiple narcotics but now the pharmacies are linked up through a national data base and that is keeping them from doing so. So pain management is catching up to the pill junkies and the doctors are now able to prescribe the narcotics more freely knowing that they are not being targeted like before.
Don't get me wrong, the people who want the pills, they can get them. The flow of drugs through Mexico and other countries continues and you can get them if you know where to look. I have a running script for muscle relaxants through my doctor which I can fill as needed with no questions asked by my doctor. But she also knows my background and knows I am using them as needed. Fun thing is, since I lost the weight, my back has improved greatly. I think the last time I popped one of those pills was like 3 years ago. Amazing how much changes when you get your weight under control. Acid reflux? Gone. Back issue? Gone. So many things have improved with just that change. Hell, I have even started drinking beer again knowing I can control the calories and enjoy a frothy one.
Let's see, the opinion of the greatest QB of all time vs some dude behind a keyboard....who to believe?
So if a person's great at one thing, they're great at everything?
Brady was a great QB and a great leader on the field and in the locker room.
How great is he at administrative work though?
In every field of every line of work, there is e.g. a guy who excels at X but some other guy is put in Y position because he's better at that position than the first guy.
Brady is wholly unproven in his current role. After all this time, it's more than reasonable to be skeptical of anything this organization does.

I will give a huge benefit of the doubt to Brady over some guy on a message board for sure until such time as we see failures on Brady's part. We know that Carroll came over to the Raiders in large part because of Brady.

What, you think he's sweating it out with legal, accounting, and marketing every day? He's just the face. But that's irrelevant to what I said anyway. I see no reason to give him the benefit of the doubt. He's proven nothing in his current role, and until he does I'll remain skeptical.

Old men arguing back and forth on things we all know, not some of us, but all of us.
Brady may or may not be good at this, time will tell.
Brady is a different approach to what we've done in the past. Is this the right move? Time will tell.
We do know he's not a complete idiot.
We know you can make right moves in the NFL and still lose.
While Mark has been unfortunately a loser in the w/l column since becoming owner, most of his decisions (GM/Coach/Minority Owner with a voice) are reasonably logical and acceptable at the time of hire. It's a super competitive sport.
Pete Carrol's staff is the best staff we've ever started with, but once again they need to prove it moving forward and... time will tell.
My understanding was Pete was choice #2 to Campbell. But what was reported first about Campbell before the season was over was in fact correct, he had a strong want to go to Chicago and with Caleb I totally get that. It was after the season it seemed we might be in play for his services, but that's media in search of clicks for the most part. So was Campbell even reasonable? If not, the Pete was #1 in what we had a chance for.
EDIT: To be topical. Like Wilkins, he was the right signing at the time, but even with right decisions things can go wrong.

Whether Brady is good in an administrative position only time will tell. However, I have 100% faith in him evaluating QBs. If he didn't want Darnold that is good enough for me.

Brady does know about QB's and has access to some people in the know (Tommy House). He does know guys directly as he has been a team mate of some. Anything more is just speculative. That being said, I am glad we have him. He certainly can not hurt.
