I’m not expecting Wilkins to ever play for us again, that way if he does it’s a bonus.

Despite undergoing surgery and participating in offseason rehabilitation, his recovery is still ongoing. Typically, these injuries require three to four months of recovery time. However, studies indicate that the “refracture rate in athletes ranged from 4 to 12%, and incomplete healing ranged from 7 to 50%.”
For elite athletes, “the rate of refracture can be as high as 30% for intramedullary (IM) screw fixation and 10.5% for plate fixation.” Those high rates may stem from re-injury, improper screw placement, or incomplete healing due to athletes returning too soon.
With NFL training camps still weeks away, the Raiders’ medical staff may be prioritizing long-term recovery over short-term activity in an effort to avoid re-injury. However, it may warrant concern if Wilkins remains in the walking boot during training camp.

Anybody know how to weld? I've got some tools and have been watching some YouTube video, and I think I could get him ready for the season, but it would be good to weld some rebar in there to make sure it holds up long term. I'm sure we have some very qualified candidates on this board to take care of the pain management aspect of his recovery.

But to your point, had my annual physical and my primary doctor whom I got to know when he signed on at my place of employment, just wrote me a 30 script of hydros and said call when I need a refill.

Who’s left in FA?[/quote]pickings are pretty slim to be honest. Those interior guys can come cheap so teams load up going into camp. Our best bet to get a serviceable guy is to wait for the cut down's when teams are getting down to 53

I’d much rather let guys Butler, Pegues, Hemingway, Fotu etc run it till Wilkins is ready i’m even interested in what Leonard can do with Laki Tasi even though that’s a long shot
