Raiders drafting WR’s so they can block. Gotta love it.

Three years from now, Dont'e Thornton could be one of the top five wideouts in the league.

Or he could be bagging groceries.

But for a fourth-round pick, why not take the flyer?
I think you are overreacting.
Let’s review:

In four seasons:

65 catches
1,426 yards
10 TD
21.9 YPC

Now, seeing that eye popping YPC, why did he only have 65 career receptions? That’s a huge red flag to me. He’s probably better at blocking than catching.
I think you are overreacting.
Jack Bech had one good year.
Thornton has an awesome YPC, but averaged ~ 16 catches per season.

But they’re both supposed to be really good blockers. That’s not an overreaction, just stating the facts.
Are you believing all the hype and positive news on DT?
Yup. He already has the most talent of all the wideouts, and if you add that with what he's doing at camp, he should be ahead of Bech on the depth chart come Week 1.

In Carroll's offense, especially with Jeanty as the focus you need receivers who are good blockers. And with Smith's mobility you equally need receivers who can block.

I think Maxx said he kind of looks like Martavis Bryant out there. Now to us, that sounds really negative. But if we can get a version of Bryant when he was on the Steelers this is a great pick.

Sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders too in terms of work ethic so his ceiling really could be as high as he wants it to be.

I believe the only depth chart from the coaching staff that’s published before the season is the one at the end of training camp. The rest are guesses by front office staff
