I’m always pumped when the Raiders build out the organization. Fielding a football team logistically complex and we’re hobbling ourselves by not having as much support staff as other teams.

The Las Vegas Raiders replaced Antonio Pierce with Pete Carroll and fired former LA Chargers GM Tom Telesco this offseason. Even with Telesco out the door, Carroll and the Raiders are still trying to continue the tradition of poaching talent from the Chargers.

While building out his staff, Carroll has already attempted to steal a coach from his long-time rival, Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh and the Chargers are not allowing it to happen.

Las Vegas requested to interview wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal to be the team's pass game coordinator and wide receivers coach. Since it was not a direct promotion to offensive coordinator, the Chargers had the ability to block the interview and they did. Lal will not be joining the Raiders' staff, and will likely stay in Los Angeles in 2025.

The one interesting thing about this request from the Raiders is we have no idea what Lal would have done. Would Lal have spurned the Chargers to rejoin Carroll in Las Vegas? The situation seems bleak in Vegas, so perhaps not, but it is impossible to know.

Another year under Graham isn't going to retard his development.[/quote]He can absolutely still learn, but you would lose a year or more of DC and play calling development that he could have gained had you just given it to him from the beginning.

Like I said, I don't hate it. I just think it would've made more sense long term. Personally, I just don't see a situation where PG ends up as a head coach for us. Would be thrilled if I'm wrong

If our D doesn't excel then I don't see him as anyone's HC. For what it's worth, it sounds like Leonard is getting much broader experience while working under Graham than just working with the dline. I don't remember who said it, but he apparently works with LBs and DBs as well so he's developing all the skills of a DC aside from play calling. Personally I think play calling is overrated - not that it doesn't matter, but game planning and preparation are far more important while fans talk a ton about play calling because that's what we see as a "fix" in game.

I put that up there with game planning and prep.

In-game adjustments when the defense figured out how to stop what we were doing? Not so much.

Like a lot of the cast (us included) he took a souvenir from the set, his signature keyboard scarf. I took one of the books from Mr. Hand's class and have since lost that in one of my moves. I heard Penn swiped several of the centerfolds that were on the walls of his "room" which was actually a set unlike the classroom scenes. Most of the cast wore our own clothes in the movie because the budget was small. I saw the "making of Fast Times" doc and learned that the scene where Damone knocks up Stacy he did a full frontal scene that was cut because at the time dangling your schmeckle in a movie would get you an X rating. Our director, Amy, was a bit of a rarity back then, a female director who was a bit young for such a project but she was great to all of us. A bit of trivia from my 15 minutes of fame.
