I don't want any of the old Seattle/Raider guys. No to Gus Bradley and his antiquated Cover 3 scheme. No to Cable. No to Bevel or Waldron. Let's get some young, fresh people in here. Ironically, if the whole Pete Carroll short term hire thing has for a positive, it would be that this search for OC/DC should attract bright, young, qualified minds due to the fact they could have the chance to be the successor to Pete in 3-4 years.

If we’re bringing someone in to work & learn under Pete as DC then a younger guys fits the bill

I'm curious to the people who don't want to take a chance on a young DC, who are the options you want to hire?

The target should be young coordinators for the coaching positions that matter like OC and DC. He can easily fill out his staff with the older guys he knew and worked with.

Assembling the best staff possible is and should be the goal.

With Carroll as HC I don't see a need to have a DC with DC experience.
